Magenta is based upon an unknown make, 24" 5-speed cruiser bike. It was a freebie frame to us. The body of the bike is now primarily fiberglas, including  fenders and tank. The chainguard is metal, off an old exercise bike. The front fork  is a Schwinn-type reproduction springer.

The bike has a Bendix 2-speed, kick-back hub (coaster brake). The mold for the tank is carved wood, fender molds are made of plaster and scrap wood. The rear rack started as a universal 9-hole metal rack, adapted to fit. Overall design of the bicycle was inspired by a 1943 Indian motorcycle with enclosed fender skirts. Designed and built by James Junget, aka..Jim.
