I have restored/built a tandem trike cruiser with a custom wood flatbed.
I have been researching, and have not found one person who has ever seen a
tandem trike in America. I have contacted the National Bike Registry, and
they have over 100,000 custom and Mass manufactured bikes, and never a tandem
trike! Also the League of American Bicyclists, said they have never heard of
one, and also invited me to their BikeFest in Altoona, PA to display.
It took me about 200 hours to restore, paint and modify. The bike was
rusted on almost every part that was not covered by the several coats of
spray paint that covered the bike.
I live in Orange County, CA with miles of beach boardwalk to cruise, and
the tandem trike is a sweet slow speed cruiser...
