Below: "The SKYCYCLE was awesome to ride! 10 feet up, looking down."

I have finally figured out how to make a simple yet fast trike. I originally wanted to make a greenspeed style tadpole, but I don't like the long chainline, or the front steering (too complicated.) So here are the pics of the latest unit. It is front wheel drive, so it eliminates the long chain run and routing wheels, as well as keeps the wheelbase low. Rear axle is very simple, just a straight axle connected to stub hubs. The unit will be very light, and low and should be able to keep up with city car traffic.

To mount the skycycle, you just get up on the garage roof, or climb a chain link fence. Getting off was the hard part. A telephone pole was a good way, but sometimes you needed to get of the damn thing real fast, so you dove off and hoped for the best. I was only 15 in that pic, and had no welding skills, but the machine was pretty sturdy anyways.
Below: This machine is called "QUADRANT". Made from four identical frames found at the dump on "free weekend". The 4 chains are managed using a homemade spring- tensioned idler wheel system. The cycle rides nice, and the frames are dead straight (this is very important to keep chains from falling off). The bike will be fitted with nicer components and painted soon.

New chain management wheel makes the ship feel more secure, not to mention the giant gooseneck and beach cruiser bars (just lookin' damn cool).

Launch was easier this time, and the new shiney rims cut the wind like a
torch through paper. I travelled to many distant
blocks, and I owned the road everywhere I flew. Cars parked to get a look, I felt like I could go through any red light or stop sign without fear. I love ridng the SkyCycle, it is the most fun ever on a bike.

I now ride up to a wall, and just climb down, but I know jumping isn't too
bad if I had to. I love this cruiser!!!!!!!!
