Fredrick Trippler: Comfort Cruiser, TrikesFormation, Bruiser.
I've been a bicycle rider most of my life. But today's bicycles aren't
made for the casual rider any more. It's how fast can you go, how high can you climb, how far can you jump.  I wanted a comfortable touring bike. I'm tired of hard seats, cramped necks and bruised hands. I couldn't find such a bike, So, I designed and built my own.The most comfortable and easiest to ride that is humanly possible. Also, I wanted something that I could get the most excercise from in the shortest time possible. As far as I know there is nothing else quite like it. The seat is only 30" off the ground , but it is positioned so the rider must push the pedal forward using their leg muscles while pulling the handle bars backward .This way the rider cannot use his/her body weight to help at all. By pulling on the handlebar backwards the rider is using all of his/her major upper body muscles as well, giving a more full body workout in a shorter time period. The rider is also sitting in an upright position, but low to the ground at the same time, to cut under the wind without having to be bent over. Being that low serves three purposes. The rider doesn't have to jump off the seat to stop, he/she only has to put their foot down, also being that low gives the bike improved balance, and now almost anyone can ride a 28" touring  bike! The seat is adjustable by sliding it back or forth vs. up and down. I ride my Comfort Cruiser to work everyday. Everyone loves it. Quite a few  people want me to build them one. I wish I could. I built this one from 3 different bikes, a few hand tools and lots of imagination. A patent on the design is pending.

Right: Bruiser
Here's my latest one. I call it "Bruiser". It took 7 different bikes to make it.
Left: Here's another bike I put together this weekend with the parts of the "Bruiser".
I also have my pic as well so now you can
put a name to a face. :) Fredric Trippler
