Bigger and better than ever, this year's Abita Springs meet added new awards categories, in addition to the BR&K-sponsored People's Choice KustomBike Award. First Place this year, winner of one of Gary Silva's new 3G Bikes Air Force One cruisers, seen just behind him, was Bryan Gaude. Bryan's wild red chopper was an obvious crowd-pleaser with this year's attendees; but the rest of the field was incredibly impressive. Our test-vehicle for future IBRKA meets, Abita Springs is shaping up to be the Deep South's leading KustomBike event.

Special thanks go to John Preble, of Abita Springs' UCM Museum, the organizer of  the event, Lloyd Estaves and his family, for their help in the judging,
and especially to C.G. Mouch, Jr. for his excellent coverage, as neither of the
Wizard Bros. were able to make it this year. Jim Wilson
